What this tier means
High-confidence threat indicator — phishing, impersonation, BEC, or scam pattern. Strong contributor to the trash decision.
How Gorganizer detects this
Investment fraud promising implausibly high guaranteed returns — a defining characteristic of Ponzi and pyramid schemes. Variants include: (1) private investment funds guaranteeing 20–30% monthly returns via a "proprietary trading algorithm"; (2) forex trading robots promising 500% annual returns with "zero risk"; (3) binary options platforms promising to "double your money in 24 hours"; (4) passive income investment clubs offering $500/week guaranteed returns while incentivising victim recruitment (pyramid structure). Common red flags: guaranteed returns (no legitimate investment guarantees returns), requests to send funds via Bitcoin or wire transfer, urgency framing ("only 10 spots remaining"), claims that capital is "100% protected" or "fully insured," and no FCA/SEC registration. The SEC "no-action" database and EDGAR filing system contain no entries for these entities. The FTC 2024 Investment Fraud report documented $4.6 billion in losses — the highest-loss fraud category by a significant margin, with median loss of $7,700. Legitimate investment platforms (Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab) are regulated, disclose all fees and risks, and explicitly state that past performance does not guarantee future results.
False-positive guard
Every signal in Gorganizer feeds a multi-module score — never a sole verdict. This is a threat-tier signal — it adds a strong contribution to the trash score. The full pipeline still requires convergence across multiple modules + a margin over the safety floor before deletion happens, and Gmail's trash (30-day recovery) is always used — never permanent delete.
About the scoring engine
Gorganizer's scoring engine emits 2,143+ signals across six modules — headers, sender, subject, body, attachments, and structural metadata. Every email is scored by every module independently; the final verdict requires multiple modules to agree and the trash score to beat the safety floor by a margin.
Sacred safety guards — never delete starred emails, replies, calendar invites, receipts/invoices, or attachments — apply unconditionally regardless of any signal.
