Fake Social Security suspension scam — SSN suspended due to criminal activity + call SSA officer + arrest warrant + verify SSN / buy gift cards to protect assets

What this tier means
High-confidence threat indicator — phishing, impersonation, BEC, or scam pattern. Strong contributor to the trash decision.
How Gorganizer detects this
Email impersonating the Social Security Administration (SSA) claiming the recipient's Social Security number has been "suspended" due to suspicious activity, drug trafficking, money laundering, or identity theft — then threatening arrest by federal marshals unless they call an "SSA officer" to verify their identity or pay to "protect their assets." Some variants demand gift cards (Amazon, iTunes) to prevent assets from being "frozen" or to reactivate Medicare benefits. The real SSA never suspends Social Security numbers, never threatens arrest by email or phone, and never requests gift card payments. FTC 2024: government impersonation scams (primarily SSA) caused $1.1B in losses — the single largest reported fraud category; 40% of victims are over 60. The SSA publishes its own impersonation alert at ssa.gov/fraud.
False-positive guard
Every signal in Gorganizer feeds a multi-module score — never a sole verdict. This is a threat-tier signal — it adds a strong contribution to the trash score. The full pipeline still requires convergence across multiple modules + a margin over the safety floor before deletion happens, and Gmail's trash (30-day recovery) is always used — never permanent delete.
About the scoring engine
Gorganizer's scoring engine emits 2,143+ signals across six modules — headers, sender, subject, body, attachments, and structural metadata. Every email is scored by every module independently; the final verdict requires multiple modules to agree and the trash score to beat the safety floor by a margin.
Sacred safety guards — never delete starred emails, replies, calendar invites, receipts/invoices, or attachments — apply unconditionally regardless of any signal.
